Eugene Taylor, age 49, of the City of Poughkeepsie, and Glen Taylor, age 52, of Hyde Park, were arrested on Thursday, Jan. 28, following the searches, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.

The warrants were served in the City of Poughkeepsie and at the Inn at Hyde Park, Tasciotti said.

The search warrants were a result of investigations into narcotics sales taking place at those locations and surrounding areas, he added.

During the searches police seized approximately a half-ounce of cocaine, scales, packaging materials, and approximately $3,200 in cash.

Assisting in the investigation were the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Emergency Services Unit, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, and the Hyde Park Police Department.

Both men were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Eugene Taylor was released on his own recognizance.

Glenn Taylor was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Additional charges may be pending.
